Introduction

As explained on page How do we travel?, we would like as much as possible stay with families, but we don't want to be a financial charge for our hosts, so it would seem natural to us to pay for our low needs of energy and our meals.

We also don't want to disturb too long. If you have to leave at seven in the morning, it's not a problem for us, we will be ready to leave at that time too. We actualy did it a few time during our trip in France.

Finally, we do not need much, as explained in the following paragraph.

In France, everything went very well, and you can read on the page They said about us that people who put us up keep, in general, a good memory of our passage. A few times we've even been able to help our hosts by fixing small informatics problems. Which has always been a great pleasure.

We are confident that things will happen as well in the U.S. and we're eager to travel this wonderful country!

Our Needs

We need very little. The only requirement we have is that we need to recharge our batteries every night. We therefore need a socket (and we bring the battery charger and all the rest).

The charge of a battery lasts eight hours and consumes 1.04 kWh. We bring with us six batteries, so we should consume about 780 W that is much less than a washing machine, thus no danger of breaking the fuses.

In comparison, in France, kWh price peak, fully charge the battery 6 is up to 83 euro cents. It seems incredible, but it is true!

In addition, the ideal would be that we can take a shower and we have a roof under which to sleep.

I do not need specific adaptations to my disability. My bathroom, back in Belgium, has been build specificly, but with some efort and a little help of my friends (John Lennon, have a gulp), I can do it.

No big problems either with the stairs, I can mount one or two stages without too many problems.

We are taking sleeping bags and mattresses, so it is not necessary to have two extra beds to give us.

Finally, if you are proposing, we willingly accept to share your evening meal and breakfast.
